
(don't forget the two bottom O-rings, either ) Edited by 4WD 22:24 Note: these were on trucks engines.Įdit: for reassembly, I have a couple short metric bolts, with the bolt heads cut off and use them for line-up dowels and "stack" the first gasket, oil cooler, second gasket, then oil filter base. It is easier to remove turbo, to clean surfaces (for oil cooler ), BUT I have done certain engines, that didn't use a wasted-gated turbo and did those without removing the turbo (just removed its oil drain line ), but that was kind of a pain. Probably need a few more parts, to remove turbo and its oil lines. Make sure to blow out bolt holes and use medium strength (blue ) Locite on oil cooler/oil filter base bolts, and torque evenly.

(They are probably updated gaskets, too and maybe different colored O-rings, also ) Looks like you need to reseal the oil cooler and the oil filter base.
